Jenison pediatric dentist, Dr. Christy Vollmar is originally from Canton, Ohio. She attended Miami Univerisity in Oxford, Ohio where she studied chemistry and decided to pursue a career in dentistry. She completed dental school at The Ohio State University and served as a leader in the Student Government Association. Dr. Vollmar was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society for her high scholastic achievements.
Dr. Vollmar always knew she wanted to work with kids and this was further emphasized during her pediatric dental rotations and community outreach while in dental school. After graduating from dental school, she pursued specialty training with a pediatric dental residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. At this prestigious residency program, she also earned her Master’s Degree with research focused on dental injuries in pediatric patients.
After her residency training was complete, Dr. Vollmar practiced at a pediatric dental office in Columbus, Ohio. Because she and her husband, Andrew, had always been drawn to the beautiful outdoors of West Michigan, they decided to relocate and establish their roots in West Michigan. For the past several years, Dr. Vollmar has been working as a pediatric dentist at Cherry Health treating underserved children, many of whom have limited access to dental care. She loves working with children and their families, especially encouraging a young and sometimes nervous child through their dental appointments. Dr. Vollmar is a board certified pediatric dentist and diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She has hospital privileges at Spectrum Health Hospitals in Grand Rapids including Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital and Spectrum Health South Pavilion Surgery Center.
Dr. Vollmar and her husband, Andrew, welcomed their first child last fall. Becoming a mother has been her greatest achievement and has brought her more joy than she could have imagined. Dr. Vollmar loves spending time with her family especially hiking, biking and exploring all that West Michigan has to offer.
Dr. Meghan Condit, Jenison dentist, is a proud Michigan native who was born and raised in the Detroit area. She attended the University of Michigan and graduated with honors in biology and economics. Dr. Condit remained in Ann Arbor for dental school where she met her husband, Patrick. Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Condit practiced general dentistry in the Chicago area. During this time, she realized her love of caring for children and working with families.
She decided to pursue a pediatric specialty residency in order to gain the extra training she knew children deserve when seeing a dentist. Dr. Condit studied as a pediatric dentist in Columbus, Ohio at the prestigious Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Here, she was selected as Chief Resident and received her Master’s Degree with research focused on dental trauma in children. She also met Dr. Vollmar and they became friends and colleagues.
After completing her residency, Dr. Condit and her husband moved back to Grand Rapids where he grew up. Dr. Condit is a board-certified pediatric dentist and Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and has hospital privileges at Corewell Health Hospitals in Grand Rapids. Dr. Condit previously worked as a pediatric dentist for Cherry Health, providing dentistry to children who would have little or no access otherwise, with the goal of improving their overall health and wellness. Dr. Condit loves seeing the smiles and hearing the giggles of her patients, and values getting to know their entire family.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Condit loves spending time with her family. She is mom to 4 beautiful children – 2 boys and 2 girls, so she has a unique understanding of the special care children require, especially in uncomfortable situations. She also understands the juggle of family life as a mom! As a family, they enjoy taking walks, exploring local playgrounds, baking and reading. Dr. Condit also loves to cook, run, and appreciates all of Michigan’s seasons - enjoying summers on the water and downhill skiing in the winter.
